the adventures OF AN EASTER BUNNY
Once upon a time there was a chocolate bunny,
Who thought the world was wonderful, so peaceful and so funny.
Sitting in his cardboard box beside all of his peers,
Sharing jokes and witty stories about their long ears.
One fateful day though, his happy world turned upside down.
The box got loaded into a truck and taken into town.
Next thing he knew, he was sitting on a tall cold shelf,
With other bunnies that were as scared as he was himself.
Their panic even deepened when they heard somebody say:
“I’m going to buy lots of bunnies to eat one every day!”
They shook with fear and their sweet bodies filled with dreadful chill.
Our little bunny was so frightened he could just stand still.
Suddenly, he saw that he was moving through the air.
His heart stopped, and he was feeling dread and pure
despair.
‘What did this mean?’ our scared bunny wondered in his head,
He didn’t know, he daren’t to think what could lay ahead.
On the top of other things he was carefully set,
Everything started to shake but the worst was to come yet.
Big loud BANG and something cracking - was it bunny’s
ears?
Rolling, rolling, out of the bag; bunny stifled tears.
