were owned by women. Women also accounted for 28.7 percent of all businesses nationwide. This data revealed that women have been launching new enterprises at a greater rate than men. This has also had a major impact on the nation’s economy. Businesses where women were ½ owners made up another 12.4 million firms.
Business minded women share one thing in common. They have a passion for the business that they do. They are more inclined to start their business off properly because they don’t see it as a ‘product’, they see it more as their ‘baby’. Business minded women understand more of what it takes to assure their business will be successful by preparing properly and having a deep understand of what they are about to venture into. Having a concept and knowing the initial steps they need to take will help ensure that their business will not fail.
Another aspect: Research, research research!!! Business minded women understand they need to research all aspects of their business, the good and the bad. Thinking as a ‘business owner’, they know how to set their priorities when it comes to policies, vendors, employees, and any other choices that they need to make when it comes to their business.
Business minded women tend to be more cautious when it comes to networking. The right type of networking will help them not only be more successful, but more informed. Managing a business is not easy and needs constant networking to ‘stay in the game’
Finally the business minded woman is patient. They know nothing happens overnight. Women have always been very patient when it comes to things that we consider ‘our baby’. Working and never giving up, even though the rough times, make business minded women more successful.
Owning a business is
not easy and having as
much support as
possible is a must,
especially for business
minded women. As a
business minded
woman myself, keeping
yourself in the ‘know’ is
very important when it comes to keeping up on the new trends that are coming out as well as just picking up some new networking connections.
