SCSOPA modeling student Grey Stoffel. “Jewelry added
to a short suit or a sheath dress makes it picture perfect.”
Sheath dresses are a classic shape. They are playful yet
sophisticated making them a great choice for afternoon
garden parties or evening cocktails.
Sometimes an evening look can be all about the right
top. Ruffled blouses add a touch of romance to day wear
and a look that is just as special into the wee hours. This
look can be paired with a sleek bottom like leggings
striped in leather that will easily convert from day to
night. Cutout tops may seem too racy for day, but when
strategically placed these peek-a-boo touches are daytonight sexy.
Crop tops are not for the faint of heart, but done correctly they will be the talk of the town. “The secret to show-
ing off your midriff is the right bottom,” said SCSOPA
modeling student Laura Ball. A long skirt paired with a
hint of skin keeps the look modest and not too daring for
the day. Another trendy way to wear a crop top is to pair
it with a pencil skirt, showing just the right amount skin.
Pencil skirts are crisp and classic, sexy and sophisticated,
and go from day to night effortlessly.
A lasting staple from day to night is the printed pants.
Patterned styles are on trend this fall for pants and they
make a statement when worn with flats for daytime errands. But, throw on a pair of hot heels and the look is
as chic as they come. “My current go to look is my patterned, skinny khaki’s. I wear them with a high waist, a
crop top, and killer stiletto’s for a girls night out,” said SCSOPA scheduling director, Reem Saba.
