McGrath School gets
a Surprise Visitor

n early June, just before
the end of the school year,
the students at McGrath
elementary
school
in
Newhall were treated to
a visit by one of the biggest
celebrities from Santa Clarita,
Setareh Khatibi. When they
discovered that Setareh was
in town between assignments,
Amber Martinez head of the
Latino Business Alliance and
the excellent staff of educators
at the McGrath School jumped
through hoops to arrange
Setareh’s visit.
The students from all grades
gathered in the school library
where the tall, beautiful and
very talented Setareh gave
a short presentation about
her recent experience on
Univision’s, Nuestra Belleza
Latina,
beauty and talent
competition.
