Jesus, Son of Man
by DEAN CHEESEMAN
A story so long ago
A story that never grows old
A carpenter and his lady
The birth of a special baby
The angel said to believe
(You’ll have) A virgin child and to leave
From Nazareth and for them
To go to Bethlehem
The Son of God, to light up the earth
The Son of God, the glorious birth
The Son of God, the promise the plan
The Son of God Jesus, the Son of Man
They were away from kin
There was no room at the Inn
They traveled so far from home
And, were never alone
They found refuge out of danger
To have their baby in a manger
The world would never be the same
Jesus, was his name
The Son of God, to light up the earth
The Son of God, the glorious birth
The Son of God, the promise the plan
The Son of God Jesus, the Son of Man
As the word spread and got out
The Wise Men came about
Lead by a star in the night
Offering gifts and praise
In the Dark there was light
The Son of God, to light up the earth
The Son of God, the glorious birth
The Son of God, the promise the plan
The Son of God Jesus, the Son of Man
