After four seasons of performing at the Hart High School Auditorium, the Santa Clarita
Philharmonic is moving to the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center at the College of the
Canyons. As the area’s premier symphony orchestra, the SCP is thrilled to be able to
perform at the PAC. For its fifth season, the orchestra will present two concerts. For the
first concert on December 10, 2017, the program will feature a mix of classical and
contemporary works, including selections for orchestra and choir. This concert will
mark the completion of the requirements of a Masters of Music Degree for our Music
Director, Jeffrey Gilbert. The degree will be awarded by the California State University
at Northridge.
Our second concert on June3, 2018, will feature music from the romantic period of
classical music including works by Schumann and Sullivan. Both concerts are on
Sunday afternoons and start at 3pm. Please mark your calendars and plan to join us to
celebrate the Santa Clarita Philharmonic as it enters a new phase in its growth at the
magnificent Performing Arts Center.
