Unity
Day
on the march
A display of unity
U
nity Day is back! Help
celebrate the diversity of
Hammersmith & Fulham
and take a stand against racism on
Sunday, June 11.
As was the case last year,
marchers will gather in Shepherds
Bush Green before progressing
down Goldhawk Road, through
Hammersmith and into Ravenscourt
Park, where the main gathering is
held with entertainers and speeches.
This year’s event features singers,
dancers, circus acts and other
entertainers who will be joined by
speakers representing our richly
varied community. There will be
stalls selling food from all over the
world, and the chance to find out
more about the fantastic work of
charities and groups across H&F.

make the most of the pools in
Ravenscourt Park and Chiswick’s
Dukes Meadows. The shallow water
pool at Dukes Meadows is surround-
ed by a sloped picnic area, with the
Meadows Cafe nearby for teas and
coffees. In the Green Flag-winning
Ravenscourt Park, Hammersmith,
the paddling pool – a popular
splashing point for youngsters on
warm days – has recently undergone
a £25,000 refurbishment.
