INSPIRATIONAL WOMEN
Wendell Park primary school celebrates International Women’ s Day on 8 March with a special assembly. At one of their previous IWD events, 14 inspirational women revealed what they wanted to be at the age of 10 … and what they become. Those attending included a dance producer, a plumber and a woman who scouts for models.

Westfield’ s £ 33 million John Lewis store opens on March 20, the anchor shop of a £ 600million expansion making the shopping centre the largest in Europe. The store, on four floors, is 230,000sqft, the biggest in the enlarged mall.

Shepherds Bush has become a thriving launchpad for tech start-ups, says Huckletree co-founder Andrew Lynch. Huckletree West is a buzzing new co-working space with more than 75 businesses and 300 members, situated on the ground floor of Mediaworks – the new flexible workspace in Wood Lane. It’ s been built by developer Stanhope with support from H & F Council.“ There are some fantastic start-ups here that will change our day-to day lives forever,” said Andrew.
