he election seems like a long
time ago, and here in the office
we have watched the local
market spring back into life.
We have seen a significant increase
in buyer registrations and more
new properties being listed for sale.
Properties are selling faster, especially at
the higher end of the market and where
the threatened mansion tax would have
had most effect.
The shortage of choice for buyers
remains a problem which is keeping
prices robust, while the highest demand
has been for houses and flats which
boast some outdoor space.
The central London sales market is

The shortage of choice for

to Our Patch for more space, better
transport connections and top schools.
Hammersmith and Shepherds Bush
is a happening place, and there are
few skylines without a crane or a street
without scaffolding as neighbours
continue to invest in their properties.
Many people have opted to improve
rather than move, due to the jump in
stamp duty. Just look at the amazing
refurbishment in Dalling Road that has
seen a terraced house go from dated to
timeless and daring (see pages 18-19).
Lettings and rentals are moving
into their busy season and demand is
increasing for corporate family tenants
and young professionals. It means we
are now seeing best and final sealed
bids for the top properties.
And with the school holidays almost
here and a summer of sport underway,
now is definitely the time to have a
chat about your plans ahead of autumn
in case you want to buy sell or rent.
