>> Start limbering up! The route of the latest fun and
family road race has been unveiled, taking in Fulham
Road, King’s Road and Munster Road.
A new event on the calendar, the Vitality WestRun will
be staged over 10k on the morning of Sunday, October 4.
The race proper will start at 9am at Eel Brook
Common, with a family fun run starting from the same
point a quarter of an hour later.
For the full 10k, runners must be aged 17 or over on
race day. Entrants will be given a race number containing
a timing chip. The family run, at 9.15am, is open to
anyone over four, with special encouragement being
given to grandparent-and-grandchild groups, and follows
a mile-long route. Entries are £10, and everyone who
takes part will get a medal and T-shirt.
Places are limited and can be booked at www.
westrunlondon.com with fees starting at £35 for
the 10k (discounted for running club members) and
£10 per person for the family fun run.
