H&F BRILLIANT BUSINESS AWARDS
Here are Horton and Garton, we are
delighted that we’ve scooped an award
for Our Patch magazine. We offer a
big thanks to everyone who voted…

e’ve won! Thanks to
your votes, Horton
and Garton has
not only won the
award for the best
independent local
business but also the 2014 marketing
prize for Our Patch, the magazine you’re
currently holding in your hands.
From its low-key launch, with 10,000
distribution, it has increased to a
22,000 print run, with the judges of the
Brilliant Business Awards also noting
the link-ups with other independent
businesses in Hammersmith & Fulham
in reaching their decision to give
Horton and Garton the award.
After also collecting the runners-up
prize for best innovation in a business
in 2014 (again for the Our Patch), we
are now running out of shelf space for
trophies at our King Street office.

had not been tried before; it’s not a
sales magazine, and it’s not full of

celebrate their multiple awards
at the Brilliant Business Awards
we’ve been getting, business partners
are now coming to us to create more
offers which help shoppers who support
the area’s independent traders.
The features which seem most
popular in Our Patch include history
– from the flyover to the river, topical
subjects such as the development at the
Lyric theatre, and the Talking Heads
feature, in which head teachers talk
about their schools.
So what do the awards actually
mean? Well, it’s recognition of our
efforts to build the brand and keep our
approach to house sales and letting
fresh, honest and professional.
Last year, Horton and Garton won
the award for best customer service, so
it’s very special to do so well this year
in three key categories. Businesses of all
styles, types, shapes and sizes battled
it out in the shortlist for 14 awards,
as nominated by residents, ͡
