“The Baggage Trolley”  

As the rapid flow of events start, eager hands begin to stack the tower of luggage upon my back. I 
have a hard time staying quiet, for the excitement of the journey is overwhelming. My wheels scream 
and my joints rattle as we approach the ramp. The shiver of crispy air and the bitter smell of Jet-A fuel 
remind me of my importance and duty. The pace of urgency and efficiency takes me straight back to 
the factory my family and I were made. It is the clip of a perfect world. I feel important and necessary 
as I purposefully contribute to my small airport world. I am like a fireman or banker in a giant 
economy.
