“Fear in Shadows”
As children, we all tossed and turned at night. We would wake up and cry for our parents, because
something wasn’t right. We imagined terrors crawling from the bottoms of our bed-- pulling, tearing,
and growling their way through the the shadows of our room. As time would go on, we’d learn to hide
that fear within the recesses of our minds. Yet, when least expected, it resurfaces. The huge claws, the
deep growls of the beast beyond the rim of our consciousness. Perhaps it’s a primal instinct that
predates mankind, but the fear of the void and what may be lurking is always there.
