Pronunciation Train
Peter-Class 160
Pronunciation Train plays an important role in our English radio programming. It
helps the members of the English radio broadcast at OYY with their pronunciation
problems and teaches them knowledge about radio broadcasting.
Pronunciation Train, which is based in the English Library, consists of the foreign
teachers and all members of the English radio broadcast at OYY. It starts on Sundays at
4:30 PM and ends at 5:30 PM. Our favorite foreign teachers, Safiyyah and Shaina, are very
helpful and always help us if we have any problems. They are not only our favorite
teachers, but also our best friends in our academic lives.
The students of the English radio broadcast organize a talk show with the foreign
teachers every Tuesday afternoon. In the show, we talk with them about American news,
customs, and high school life. For Pronunciation Train, they often show us speeches of
famous people including a speech by Obama’s wife. Other times we play games and it is
very relaxing.
In summary, we are happy to attend Pronunciation Train because we can learn a lot
from it. We want to say “Thank You!” to Safiyyah and Shaina and wish that they can be
happy every day.
Thank you,
Members of Pronunciation Train
My School Life
Diane-Class 104
Hi! I’m Diane, a student of Class 104 in grade 7. At school, my teachers and
classmates are very kind to me. My school life is very interesting. I like it very much.
I have four classes in the morning and three classes in the afternoon from Monday to
Saturday. Classes begin at 8:10 AM. I study Chinese, English, math, politics, art, geography,
biology, art and so on. I like English and math the best because they are very interesting
and useful. I also like music and geography. But I don’t like PE because I think it’s boring.
After school, I often draw pictures with my friends. It’s my favorite outdoor activity.
Sometimes I go shopping with my classmates. I go to the school library every Sunday. Do
you think my school life is very interesting? Can you tell me something about yours?
