Because of your warm spirit and generous donations, over 300
children experienced the joy of opening presents this holiday
season. It was heartwarming to see parents’ faces as they picked
up the presents. A single mother, unsure of how she would
provide Christmas for her children, expressed tears of gratitude
as she laid eyes on her family’s presents, seeing that she was free
from the stress and worry. This was certainly an expression of how
appreciative Our House is for the support from the surrounding
community. We were able to exceed last year’s Adopt-A-Family
records. Over 130 families that are homeless, formerly homeless,
or nearing homelessness were provided gifts. The needs of all
the families we serve daily were met through the support of 84
returning and new individual and group donors.
