project for the last seven years. It’s always fun to see his
student athletes come to volunteer at Our House, at first
not as much because they want to help the homeless but
more because they want to get in good graces with Coach
Matt. But by the end of the two weeks, so many of these
young men and women have “caught the Our House magic”
as we say. They’ve made relationships with children and
youth; made our campus look better and run more
efficiently; and even connected with some of the adult
residents. Seeing the transformation that happens in the
hearts and minds of the student participants is equally
as impressive as the noticeable impact they have on our
campus and in our programs here at Our House.
We are grateful to Coach Matt and the students—now over
one hundred of them—who have given their time and talents
to Our House over the past seven years.
