Thanks to the many generous donors who sponsored Dinner
on the Grounds, bought tickets, participated in the raffle
and silent auction, and donated funds through this year’s
May 1st event held on the picturesque grounds of the Clinton
Presidential Center and Park.
Your contributions helped us raise $182,000 for Our House
programs. That’s a record-breaking $41,000 more than last
year, the most successful to date. Special thanks to Entergy,
our Presenting Sponsor.
As Dinner on the Grounds turned 10 years old, we celebrated
the tremendous investment of time that each of the past
chairs have given. Past chairs received special mementos—
art pieces created for them by the children of Our House.
Artist Lyuba Bogan created an oil pastel illustration of the
night’s festivities live at the event with her daughter Sasha,
7, by her side. Meanwhile, cartoonist John Deering drew
caricatures of the attendees. The crowd swayed to the soulful
sounds of Lagniappe, a band that has a fun Our House
connection: board member Dave Hoffpauir is the drummer!
Ben E. Keith generously gave the food, deliciously prepared
by Café 42. Glazer’s donated drinks, including a specialty
cocktail exquisitely prepared by South on Main. Party-goers
with a sweet tooth hit the Loblolly ice cream truck and then
headed over to the Diamond Bear Root Beer stand to mix up
Little Rock’s most delicious local floats.
Our deepest gratitude to our Nicole and Darrin Williams
and the committed team of volunteers whose service on
the Dinner on the Grounds committee made this event such
a success.
