Custer Road Middle School (Texas)
Custer Road Middle School came from Texas and went right to
work. They put hygiene packs together for incoming residents;
helped sort and organize clothing in the Shelter’s donations
closets; and assisted with priming the shelves in the donation
room of our new Children’s Center.
St. James United Methodist Church
St. James is one of our regular volunteer groups. They serve a
meal to our residents every second Monday of the month. In June
their summer youth mission volunteer group came and helped
prime the shelves in the donation room in our new Children’s
Center. While a few were preparing the shelves to be painted,
other group members used magic erasers and other supplies to
clean the walls.
Texas United Methodist Church (Texas)
This summer youth missions group gathered all the book from
the old Our Club room and moved them to the new Children’s
Center. The volunteers separated the books according to age and
grade level, put them in the correct rooms of the new building,
and organized them on shelves and in cabinets. They also read
books to the toddlers in Little Learners.
