For the past two years the Learning Center at Our House has
offered free financial literacy courses as well as financial
advising with Certified Financial Planners to clients as part
of our comprehensive program for the working homeless.
These services have been possible through partnerships with
local businesses as well as through the generous contribution
of time from financial professionals who serve as volunteers.
This summer, the Financial Planning Association of Arkansas
has joined these volunteer efforts to provide the financial
literacy that can lift families out of poverty and homelessness.
FPA members have already been able to double the number
of financial advising sessions available to clients over the
course of the summer. By volunteering their professional
expertise, the FPA of Arkansas has become another asset in
an astounding group of Our House volunteers and partners
to give clients not only a head start on financial recovery but
