When one of our summer VISTAs told me about Nicole‟s
interest in photography and in my work, I invited Nicole to
spend a morning with me. She got to see that there‟s more
to being a photographer than taking pictures. I showed
Nicole what I do and how I do it. We talked about what she
can do in the next six years to prepare for the possibility of
studying photography in college. Later Nicole joined a few of
my coworkers and me in a meeting about a new page we‟re
adding to the Our House website. Nicole and I finished by
looking at some of the photos she had taken this summer.
Nicole gave me permission to publish some of her photos on
these pages.
