She says her favorite memory of this summer is
“seeing the children‟s enthusiasm and creativity.”
While the older students composed their own
music, “each group used ideas that I would not
have thought of. They found ways to incorporate
different ideas creatively.”
Lind also taught adult music classes in the Learning
Center this summer. The adults were more interested than she‟d expected. It was “nothing like I‟d
imagined. As people began to arrive, I quickly
realized the depth of their passion for music.”
Dr. Lind plans to continue to volunteer with Our
House‟s youth and adult programs throughout the
next year.
