The pressure to look beautiful or 'perfect' is
always experienced by many young people, adults and even children today. Every day, we are overexposed to many glossy images of physical perfection on magazines, TV, the internet including social media most of all telling us how we should look or what is trending, for example weight loss, taking extremes to get fit, images of those fashion models on the catwalk on fashion & beauty profiles in addition to the ongoing focus on popular culture with celebrities. Such representations can affect our perceptions of beauty and can damage our self-esteem. It can even have an influence on guys in terms of what to look out for in a woman when it comes to finding their Miss Right.
The media is more like setting standards for guys too (not really easy for us women.!)This is something I want to tackle.
So out with such glossy beauty standards. It is time we 'EDUTAIN' (educate and entertain) young people and all audiences that being beautiful is all about BEING YOURSELF and we must celebrate the way we are. In comes the feature romantic comedy The Real Beauty Movie, a feature that I have written influenced by a few life experiences of my own as well as my thoughts and perceptions of what being beautiful really should be like as a woman and what really makes a woman truly attractive to a guy.
The Real Beauty Movie is a modern romantic comedy that aims to celebrate individuality and glamorise physical imperfections, promoting self-love overall. Like I say it is our imperfections that makes each and every one of us special and unique.
By being ourselves and loving ourselves we are shining out our true beauty to the world. Therefore there is nothing more attractive and sexy than CONFIDENCE especially when it comes to finding that special someone. REPEAT this last line one more time! ;)
Therefore let us not have such shallow approaches to beauty by basing all on appearances, let's go much deeper. Self-love, confidence, embracing our imperfections and being ourselves are THE true pointers of being beautiful.
Let us see this with THE REAL BEAUTY MOVIE on our screens.
Let's make it all happen by supporting and spreading need for it so that we can convince the executives that this feature film is worthy of producing all in aid for healthy self-esteem and healthy media..
