Suddenly, a strong wind blew which brought to his ears the words
of a familiar song. Following the sound, he walked through the
cobbled streets of the castle until he came to a gate. He opened it
and saw an old lady embroidering and singing:
"A girl, a pretty maid
Got lost in the promenade
Oh my God, who will heal
the grief she carries inside?"
-"Where did you hear this song, my good old lady?" he asked.
-"They sing it for a girl who had lost her way, son" replied she.
-"Oh, do you know this girl?" he asked.
-"I met her some time ago. She told me her grief and I
embroidered it."
Immediately the old lady took out of her pocket an embroidered
handkerchief. Yanks looked at the embroidery speechless! There
was his palace, his father crying and the wicked stepmother
laughing. He took the handkerchief, thanked the old woman and
continued on his way...
Finally, the seven princes returned to the palace without managing
to find the little princess. The king was inconsolable and announced
throughout his kingdom that he would give a reward and offices to
whoever helped him find his daughter.
