TIMBER BOAT DIVISION
The Broken Bay Game Fishing Club is
widely recognised as one of Australia’s
premier game fishing clubs. As a
division of the Royal Motor Yacht Club,
each member has easy access to
sensational fishing grounds and worldclass club facilities that include a 218
berth marina, secure parking, bait
sales, restaurant, bars, weigh station,
fuel & ice, as well as onsite contractors
to handle most requirements.
At competition level our annual
BBGFC Invitational Tournament has
grown to become one of Australia’s
largest, and richest, tournaments
regularly attracting over 300 anglers
competing for a prize pool somewhere
in the order of $130,000.

With around 150 members in this
division, including several well-known
professional charter captains &
crewmen, our fishing fleet is diverse
and extremely experienced. We cater
to anglers & vessels of all kinds, with
everything from 5mtr trailer boats to
50-foot plus game boats. There are a
number of Australia’s most prestigious
charter & private vessels, all proud to
call the BBGFC their home.

The Timber Boat division was created
in September 1998, as a large number
of boat owner members had a mutual
interest in timber boats.
The division continues to grow with
its annual Timber Boat Festival being
one of the largest events on the RMYC
calendar. The division’s main focus is
social and educational, with regular
raft-ups and information nights.
