Overview
Our Level 4 Software Developer programme is designed to equip your employees with the
knowledge and skills to build and test top-level code across front end, logic and database layers.
This programme will give your Software Developer the skills and knowledge to support your
workplace and bring extensive knowledge of new software technologies to your business.
During the 15 month programme, your employees will cover topics allowing them to extend their
knowledge and understanding of Software Development.

Your employees will learn to:
• Write good quality code (logic) with sound
syntax in at least one language.
• Develop effective user interfaces.
• Test and debug code to analyse results.
• Operate all stages of the software
development lifestyle.
• Interpret and follow software designs,
company coding standards, testing
frameworks and methodologies.
Developer Level 4 Qualification. They will also get a vendor certification in either
JAVA, PL/SQL (delivered in collaboration with the Oracle Workforce Programme) or
Microsoft C#.
This programme is recognised for entry onto the register of IT Technicians
confirming SFIA professional competence and those completing the programme are
eligible to apply for registration.
Training and Assessment
This programme lasts for 15 months, with your employees undertaking

learning sessions during the initial stages of their qualification. We will
work with you to establish their timetable to best suit your business. Your
employees must submit a portfolio of evidence comprising of workplace
tasks, which will be supported by evidence gathered throughout their
programme.
