Module Overview Our Level 3 Assistant Accountant programme gives your employees the skills and knowledge and on the job training to make them a highly valued member of the team. Here are some of the knowledge development units in further detail: 18 Ethics for Accounting Advanced Bookkeeping In this module, participants will understand the need to act ethically, understand the relevance to the Ethical Code of Professional Accountants and identify actions to take in relation to unethical behaviour. Participants will understand the basic principles of accounting including the accounting equation, understand VAT and payroll accruals and understand the difference between capital and revenue. Spreadsheets for Accountants Final Accounts Preparation For this, participants will learn how to use relevant tools to manipulate and analyse data, design and structure spreadsheets to meet customer needs and use tools to prepare and report accounting information. In this module, participants will understand the format of accounts for sole traders, understand partnership accounts and have a detailed look into incomplete records. Management Accounting: Costing Indirect Tax Participants will demonstrate an understanding of internal reporting, differentiate between cost classifications for different purposes and record and calculate overhead costs. This will allow participants to understand the nature of VAT, explain how an organisation should interact with HMRC, look into VAT documentation and VAT errors.
