Inside a fully enclosed glass funicular, up
to 20 riders can ride between the top of
100 Street in downtown Edmonton (near
the Hotel Macdonald) to Louise McKinney
Park. The funicular is free to everyone, and
at just the push of a button —
even if
you have a mobility aid, stroller or bicycle.

Botanic Garden. The newly added Aga Khan
Garden includes a pavilion, intricate granite
and stone work and lush space for more
than 20,000 plants — and it is also the
northernmost Islamic garden in the world.

Escape to the tropics
The four dramatic glass pyramids
in Edmonton’s river valley house a
spectacular display of flowers and
vegetation. In the Tropical Pyramid, you’ll
discover flowers and greenery from the
lush rainforest, while the Arid Pyramid
contains vegetation from both hot
and cold deserts. The Feature Pyramid
changes up several times throughout the
year to exhibit stunning floral displays.
