MESSAGE
Greetings shareholders,
Much is happening in the world currently,
and here in Unalaska, we are adjusting
our business operations in order to
maintain the safety of our employees
and community. Currently, the OC
offices are closed, although an employee
will be on hand during business hours
to answer phone calls. We have also
rescheduled the Ounalashka Corporation
Annual Shareholder Meeting to Saturday,
September 26, 2020, in Unalaska, Alaska,
to ensure we do our part to flatten the
curve of the COVID-19 virus.
OC’s everyday business is being conducted
with no interruptions, and the staff and board
are working hard to adapt to a remote office
environment. While I miss seeing staff and board
members at work, I am proud of their commitment
to our shareholders and corporation during these
uncertain times.
As we acclimate to the current situation, I
encourage each of you to stay active, stay engaged
and stay positive. If you live in Unalaska, get
outside on OC’s lands and recreate, or start a new
hobby or reconnect with a friend with a call.
One of the things that impresses me about the
OC family is the shared heritage and sense of
community that connects you with each other.
That is a framework for success in a unique
situation that none of us were expecting.
Let’s be sure to keep each other in our thoughts –
and I hope to see as many of you as possible at the
upcoming Annual Meeting.
