LEARN ON THE LEADING EDGE
When you’re not mastering the tools
physicians are using today, you’ll be using the latest interactive
technologies and high-resolution imaging to study the body’s
complex structures close up and in real time.

Our campus sites are spread across Ohio, but here,
your learning environment isn’t defined by distance or location. With our interactive
videoconferencing system, you can study with world-renowned physicians,
participate in lectures across the state, access the resources of affiliate health
care systems, and connect to your fellow students in Dublin and Cleveland.

The white trillium (Trillium grandiflorum),
Ohio’s official state wildflower, has
historically been used for medical
purposes. The flower serves as a symbol
of transformation, renewal, growth, and
health at a time of great change for the
Heritage College. Its three petals on a
single stem reflect the college’s unity as
it expands from one campus to three.
“At the Heritage College, we are trained in
evidence-based medicine. However, not only
are we taught the humanistic approach to
this practice, we are immediately immersed in
situations where our thoughts and beliefs are
constantly challenged. It’s a special privilege to
have gotten my medical education in Athens,
where I can learn through many scenarios similar
to what I might face as a physician in the diverse
culture that is the hallmark of our country.”
CARING FOR OUR NEIGHBORS
The Osteopathic
Heritage Foundation gift that gave our college
its name also led to the expansion of the
Heritage Community Clinic. Staffed by our faculty
physicians, it’s open to southeastern Ohio
residents who need care the most, and provides
free and low-cost health screenings, immunizations,
diabetes treatment, and other specialty care.
You’ll have the best educational technologies at your disposal,
like interconnected plasma displays, virtual microscopy
capabilities, and electronic patient simulators that can present
a host of medical conditions in amazingly realistic ways.

Each year our students log more than 4,500
volunteer hours at local schools, clinics, nursing
homes, and other community sites throughout
the region, gaining firsthand insight into primary
care, and experiencing the difference they can
make in the lives of individuals and across
whole communities.
