MAKING YOUR WAY Cleveland
“
Here you’ll have the opportunity to
train alongside some of the country’s
brightest medical minds and most
dedicated caregivers, from throughout
the Cleveland Clinic system and other
important health care partners in
northeast Ohio, with the opportunity
to remain in the region for all four years
of medical school. Every day you’ll gain
firsthand experience addressing the needs
and challenges of a diverse and vibrant
urban population, all while remaining
connected to the greater Heritage College
family, with your peers in Dublin and
Athens just a videoconference away.

INNOVATIVE HEALTHCARE SOLUTIONS
Through our Transformative Care Continuum, you’ll
partner with communities to provide family medicine
where it’s needed most, beyond the exam room.
You’ll be rooted in your clinical teams– Cleveland
Clinic Lakewood Family Health Clinic or Cleveland
Clinic Akron General Center for Family Medicine
– within your first days of medical school, staying
in one clinical team through Heritage College
graduation, family medicine residency, and board
certification. This innovative and accelerated medical
school program, a partnership between the Heritage
College and Cleveland Clinic, is based on knowledge
and skills – not time spent in medical school – with
connected experiences between patients and health
care delivery teams at its foundation.

INSPIRED LEARNING The Cleveland campus
delivers real-life clinical experiences, but it’s also
home to the latest learning tools. Our Learning

Housed in the Clinical Training and Assessment Center
are several patient examination rooms where, in simulated
interactions, you’ll experience firsthand what primary care
physicians do daily. You’ll hone your diagnostic skills,
master technical procedures, and practice engaging patients
effectively and compassionately.
“The Heritage College emphasizes learning over
grades, which has fostered a culture of peer
support and learning. I know I can turn to any of
my classmates for assistance now — as well as
in the future when I am a practicing physician.
Each student brings different attributes, and
working collaboratively reminds me of traits I
myself may not always portray, but that I would
like to improve upon to be a better caregiver.”
