Operational Implementation
Our local NGO partner, Child’s Dream, establishes a close partnership with the community leaders and the school management when developing educational infrastructure projects to ensure a more successful outcome. This is seen in terms of successfully meeting educational needs and supporting community development that leads to greater sustainability.
At Ou Sralao Lech Primary School the community was encouraged to actively participate in the construction. This participation gives villagers a stronger sense of pride and ownership of their project. The community is responsible for maintaining all infrastructure. For this project, the community contributed by demolishing the dilapidated wooden building, filling the foundation for construction and building fences around the school vicinity. They will also organise the opening ceremony which will take place on the 28th March 2019.
