S . O . S . Emergencia Climática , el futuro de la Humanidad en peligro Ezequiel Martínez
In the spring of 2019 , I began writing a book that I had been thinking about for years . I had already written on numerous occasions and had conducted television reports about the threat of Climate Change on the TV programme “ Land and Sea ”. Since directing “ Land and Sea ” for the first time in 1992 , the year in which the Earth Summit was held in Rio de Janeiro , I was aware as a journalist about the need to report news and issues related to Climate Change , an issue scientists were already predicting and alerting us on the urgency to act if we did not want to compromise our future - the future of Humanity .
The “ Land and Sea ” programme offered me the opportunity to approach , from an environmental perspective , the relationship of man with the Earth , particularly different forms of agricultural and livestock production , some aggressive towards the natural environment and others kind and sustainable . During my time with “ Land and Sea ” ( 1992-2013 ) we tried to inform and publicise the more sustainable ways of producing food that take care of Mother Earth . As a result of that long wealth of experience , we travelled to Denmark , Greenland , and Norway , to gauge scientific opinion on the melting and retreat of glaciers and the drastic changes in the way of life of cultures such as “ the Innuits ”, who had started to transform their hunting methods due to the retreating ice which was forcing seals , bears , etc . away from areas nearby , places where they had ordinarily hunted them .

En la primavera de 2019 acometí el escribir un libro sobre el que venía pensando desde hace años . Yo había escrito ya en numerosas ocasiones y había realizado reportajes en Tierra y Mar sobre la amenaza del Cambio Climático . Desde que empecé a dirigir “ Tierra y Mar ” en 1992 , año en el que se celebró la Cumbre de la Tierra en Río de Janeiro , estaba concienciado como periodista , sobre la necesidad de informar de noticias y asuntos relacionados con el Cambio Climático que ya vaticinaban los científicos , alertándonos sobre la urgencia de actuar si no queríamos comprometer nuestro futuro , el futuro de la Humanidad .
El programa de “ Tierra y Mar ” me ofreció la oportunidad de abordar desde un enfoque medioambiental , las relaciones del hombre con la Tierra , las diferentes formas de producción agrícola y ganadera , unas agresivas con el medio natural , y otras amables y sostenibles . En el programa “ Tierra y Mar ” procuramos en mi etapa ( 1992-2013 ) informar y divulgar esas formas más sostenibles de producir alimentos cuidando de la madre Tierra . Fruto de toda esa rica y larga experiencia , viajamos a Dinamarca , Groenlandia , y a Noruega , para pulsar allí la opinión de los científicos sobre el deshielo y retroceso de los glaciares y los cambios drásticos de la forma de vida de culturas como “ la inuit ”, que empezaban a transformar sus métodos de caza porque los hielos se retiraban y alejaban a las focas , osos , etc , de las zonas cercanas en las que solían cazarlos .
