The data collection and analysis phase , and the subsequent final write-ups were done in one of my favorite places in the observable universe - my home studio . Here I spent some unforgettable winter evenings writing , remembering and recreating the traveler , the journey and the other place . All thanks to the amazing OTWO who presented me with the opportunity .

There will be continuity of this attractive proposal . The Gibraltar to Bordeaux routes will be collected in a single volume . This will include more images and more text , which could not be incorporated in the magazine version .
The Gibraltar to Bordeaux volume will be the first of a series of five . Inspired by Ptolemy ’ s erroneous geocentric model , which placed the Earth at the center of the universe , I have placed Gibraltar at the center of Europe . In addition , I have converted my car into a special , time-penetrating space ship . Subsequently I will work with these illusions as a backdrop for the travels . They are simply a sequence of illustrated travel diaries , about places we visited . Monologues of our experiences on the road . I still can ’ t think of a title for the series .
The second volume , this year ’ s , focuses on Italy : Venice , Verona , Cinque Terre , Sestri Levante , Genoa or Sestri Ponente where are my ancestors .
