Bravely taking a tour on an Ebike the day after Na-
tional Day was an idea I presumed would be a night-
mare. Instead it turned out to be pretty uplifting and
gave me the energy boost I definitely needed.
These premium Ebikes are by Riese&Müller, they
are branching out all over the globe onto many sus-
tainable platforms. The future of automobiles is a
rapid flowing industry, one that is highly impacting
our planet. The future of our decisions lies in us
purchasing high-end technology that is sensible and
sustainable for our future.
After having spent my morning with Stuart Hed-
ley from Ebikes Gibraltar along with an Ebike itself,
I was very impressed on how professionally I was
greeted and catered to as a customer. The ebike has
many functions, it’s easy to maneuver and fun to
ride. That is if you can find your balance!
It seems like an ordinary bike but its unique com-
ponents allow it to operate electrically with its mo-
tor, battery, sensor and electric display.
As for the appearance of the bicycle, which is not
always important, from the front to the rear wheel,
its minimal and sleek look makes it stand out from
the crowd. One of its trouble-free features is that
you can easily charge the battery as if you would
charge your mobile phone. Simply disconnect the
battery, connect it to an available socket wherever
you happen to be. Simple! Although, this will be a
rare occasion as the batteries on a full charge lasts
up to a hundred kilometers. Going up a hill has never
been so easy on a bicyle but then again this isn’t
your average bicycle is it?
Before your trip the EBike team provide you with
safety instructions, cycle helmet and a bottle of wa-
ter. The fee includes the entrance fee into the Nature
Reserve. Live commentary is provided from an offi-
cial tour guide throughout the ride.
EBikes Gibraltar will soon have a base, yes! They
will be located at Ocean Village Promenade, offering
a wide variety of services and products such as new
electrical bicycles for both rental and sale and kee-
ping to their currently available tour bookings.
Their tours start from Ocean Village all the way to
the Top of the Rock getting to areas not even acces-
sible in vehicle. It is a three-hour tour and allows you
share an outdoor experience with Gibraltar’s nature
