After reading it , I ’ ve been curious about how many other environmentalists have read this book . If you haven ’ t , it ’ s unforgivable . The recently passed Bruno Latour , about whom you can read a report in this issue of OTWO , lays out in this book all of his convictions regarding the escalating issue of planet habitability . He clearly points out the three factors that are causing a dangerous and irreversible situation : deregulation , increasing inequalities and the denial of climate change . And he argues that we must change the concept of “ defense of nature ” - which only provokes indifference - for that of “ defense of the territory ”. This radical , but much-needed publication deploys a didactic and combative index as a form of summary , titling each of the chapters with long sentences . Here are a couple of examples : “ The world ’ s ruling classes have decided to gradually get rid of all the burdens of solidarity ” or “ Back to the description of terrains of life : the possible model of the notebooks of complaints ”. You are already taking too long to read it .
