Especially the practitioners of water sports , such as kite surfing , which have made this place one of the main destinations in the world for the practice of this activity .
With all of the above being cooked in the big pot that is the Natural Park of the Strait , sometimes difficulties arise that are faced on a day-to-day basis . The effort of the managers must take into account the interests of all , while safeguarding the natural space .
One of the tools available to the different Natural Parks of Andalusia to help in their conservation is the Environmental Participation and Awareness Program for Natural Spaces of the Natura 2000 Network . This is an initiative full of actions aimed at disseminating the values of the area and generating attitudes among the population in favor of its conservation . The General Secretariat launches this initiative for Environment , Water and Climate Change of the Ministry of Agriculture , Livestock , Fisheries and Sustainable Development , through the European Framework of the Rural Development Program of Andalusia 2014-2020 , European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development .
In the 2021-2023 edition , the effort is focused on the business initiatives that exist in each Natural Park , to make them visible and help generate socioeconomic value around them .
In each Natural Park , the design and implementation of this program is the responsibility of a company , which in coordination with the management of each area creates a program of actions and a time plan to carry out each of them .

Con todo lo anterior cociéndose en la gran olla que es el Parque Natural Del Estrecho , a veces se producen dificultades que se van afrontando en el día a día . El esfuerzo de los gestores debe tener en cuenta los intereses de todos , al mismo tiempo que salvaguarda el espacio natural .
Una de las herramientas con la que cuentan los distintos Parques Naturales de Andalucía para ayudar a su conservación es el Programa de Participación y Sensibilización Ambiental para Espacios Naturales de la Red Natura 2000 . Se trata de una iniciativa repleta de acciones que van encaminadas a difundir los valores del espacio y generar actitudes entre la población que vayan en favor de su conservación . Esta iniciativa la pone en marcha la Secretaría General de Medio Ambiente , Agua y Cambio Climático de la Consejería de Agricultura , Ganadería , Pesca y Desarrollo Sostenible , a través del Marco Europeo del Programa de Desarrollo Rural de Andalucía 2014-2020 , Fondo Europeo Agrícola de Desarrollo Rural .
En la edición 2021-2023 , se focaliza el esfuerzo en las iniciativas empresariales que existen en cada Parque Natural , para visibilizarlas y ayudar a generar valor socioeconómico alrededor de ellas .
En cada Parque Natural , el diseño y puesta en marcha de este programa recae sobre una empresa , que en coordinación con la dirección de cada espacio crea un programa de acciones y una planificación temporal para llevar a cabo cada una de ellas .
