A region of such ecological value has been declared a Natural Park of the Strait by the Junta de Andaluca in the south of the province of Cadiz , which is watched over and impacted by the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea at the same time .
Its geology , which is the result of the movement of the neighboring tectonic plates , is motivation enough to come here . On this substrate , spectacular habitats have been established , some of which have been designated as of Community Interest by the Natura 2000 Network .
The plant and animal species that have chosen this place to live are many and very interesting , some with spectacular super powers to withstand extreme living conditions .
Al sur de la provincia de Cádiz , vigilado y a la vez influenciado por el océano Atlántico y el Mar Mediterráneo , se encuentra un espacio de tal valor ecológico , que en el año 2003 fue declarado Parque Natural Del Estrecho por la Junta de Andalucía .
Su geología , fruto del movimiento de las placas tectónicas circundantes , por si sola ya es una razón para visitar este rincón . Sobre este substrato se han ido creando hábitats espectaculares , algunos de ellos reconocidos como de Interés Comunitario por la Red Natura 2000 .
Las especies vegetales y animales que han escogido este lugar para vivir son muchas y muy interesantes , algunas con espectaculares superpoderes para aguantar condiciones de vida extremas .
