The Spanish Government , as well as the different autonomous organisations , continue to turn their backs on their firefighting operatives , despite the fact that these workers are the ones who protect such essential assets as the forests and protected natural spaces . Helping to aid the population and public services in many areas that suffer from decades of problems caused by depopulation .
The Trade Union Section of OSTA in the public company SARGA , which manages among other services the Operative of Prevention and Extinction of Forest Fires of Aragon , joined in 2018 the Platform of Associations and Trade Unions of Forest Firefighters ( PASBF ). This partnership brings together the forest firefighters ' unions that account for the majority of union representation in the forest firefighting agencies throughout the Spanish territory , being the promoter of the first draft of the Basic Statute of Forest Firefighters that reached the General Courts .
OSTA has always considered , as a fundemental issue the approval of the Basic Statute of the Forest Firefighter , to regulate the profession and important aspects such as retirement reduction coefficients , occupational diseases , training and second activity . This statute is currently in the final stages of approval , where PASBF ' s contributions will be essential .
Regarding the forest fire prevention system in Aragón , we continue to demand the dignification of the working conditions of its workers , in a conflict that has been dragging on for decades .
Four years ago , the Directorate General of Natural Environment and Forest Management initiated an attempt to change the model of the Operational Prevention and Extinction of Forest Fires in Aragon , something that from the Union Section of OSTA in SARGA , we have considered necessary , especially when the operation revolves around the precariousness of its staff .
But despite the need for this new model to adapt the device to the challenges of climate change , this was discarded due to the fear and vertigo of some in the face of change , the particular interests of others and the political struggle within an Aragonese government formed by a coalition of four parties .
The last episode in the conflict in the Aragon firefighting operation led in March 2023 to the first indefinite strike in SARGA , after weeks of mobilizations . cendios contratado con el código de ocupaciones de « peón de la caza y de la pesca ».
El Gobierno español , así como los diferentes gobiernos autonómicos , continúan dando la espalda a sus operativos antiincendios , a pesar de que son estos trabajadores los que protegen bienes tan esenciales como los montes y los espacios naturales protegidos . Ayudando de esta manera a fijar a la población y los servicios públicos , en zonas que sufren desde hace numerosas décadas los males provocados por la despoblación .
La Sección Sindical de OSTA en la empresa pública SARGA , que gestiona entre otros servicios el Operativo de Prevención y Extinción de Incendios Forestales de Aragón , se unió en el 2018 a la Plataforma de Asociaciones y Sindicatos de Bomberos Forestales ( PASBF ). Esta agrupación aglutina a los sindicatos de bomberos forestales que suman la mayoría de la representación sindical en los dispositivos antiincendios forestales en todo el territorio español , siendo la impulsora del primer borrador del Estatuto Básico de Bombero Forestal que llegó a las Cortes Generales .
Desde OSTA , se ha considerado siempre como una cuestión fundamental la aprobación del Estatuto Básico del Bombero Forestal , para regular la profesión y aspectos tan importantes como los coeficientes reductores de la jubilación , las enfermedades profesionales , la formación y la segunda actividad . En la actualidad dicho estatuto , se encuentra ante los últimos trámites para su aprobación , donde las aportaciones de PASBF serán esenciales .
Respecto al dispositivo antincendios forestales en Aragón , seguimos exigiendo la dignificación de las condiciones laborales de sus trabajadores , en un conflicto que se arrastra desde hace décadas .
Hace cuatro años se inició por parte de la Dirección General de Medio Natural y Gestión Forestal , un intento para cambiar el modelo del Operativo de Prevención y Extinción de Incendios Forestales en Aragón , algo que desde la Sección Sindical de OSTA en SARGA , hemos considerado algo necesario , y más cuando el operativo gira en torno a la la precariedad de su plantilla .
Pero a pesar de la necesidad de ese nuevo modelo para adaptar el dispositivo a los retos del cambio climático , este se descartó por el miedo y el vértigo de
