and hauled hundreds of glass bottles , ropes , fishing lures , nets and even a Television !
“ Based at the Critter Station , Nautilus core members Brian and Desiree meticulously checked through every item retrieved from the basin . Hundreds of tiny critters , including crabs , spider crabs , brittle stars , sea urchins , chitons , polychaete worms and more , were found amidst the rubbish and separated into a separate saltwater vat . These were then returned safely back to the ocean .”
The Clubhouse , Gold Duke Of Edinburgh and students Prior Park and the College joined other members of the public to scour the whole area and revetments to clean up litter and other debris .
The Ecopark collected all the refuse at the end of the event . The total amount collected in just 90 minutes weighed a massive 460kg !

El Proyecto Nautilus alcanzó un hito increíble el 18 de febrero de 2023 , con la 100 ª Gran Limpieza de Playas de Gibraltar , ¡ que también tuvo lugar en el 6 º aniversario del evento comunitario !
La iniciativa comenzó el 18 de febrero de 2017 en la histórica Bahía de Rosia . Desde entonces , el TNP ha reunido a cientos de voluntarios para ayudar a mantener limpias las costas de Gibraltar . Trabajando por turnos para cubrir todas las zonas costeras de Gibraltar , volvieron a Rosia Bay para celebrar los dos increíbles hitos el mismo día .
En un comunicado de prensa , TNP dijo : « Inspirada por dos chicos jóvenes , Alex y AJ , esta iniciativa se ha convertido en un enorme trabajo de amor comunitario . Gracias por tu apoyo , Gibraltar ».
« A TNP se unieron Diving with Nic y el equipo Resolve Marine Dive . Ambos grupos unieron sus fuerzas y arrastraron cientos de botellas de vidrio , cuerdas , señuelos de pesca , redes ¡ e incluso un televisor !».
