European Perspectives and Regulations
The circular economy has proven to generate a wide range of benefits for society , which is why the European Union has prioritised its promotion as one of the fundamental pillars of its economic and environmental policy . This approach is further reinforced in the context of the Next Generation Funds , where Spain has presented the Recovery , Transformation and Resilience Plan ( PERTE ) for the Circular Economy . Through these initiatives , the aim is to foster the transition from the current linear economic model towards a more circular and sustainable approach , promoting reuse , recycling and waste reduction .
