display , designed by Angelique Vassallo-Martin , was created using only recyclable materials . The display featured wooden wine boxes , wine corks , shells , cinnamon sticks , recycled paper , and organic wine products . Over 100 corks were used , creatively arranged to form a world map , with one special cork dedicated to Gibraltar with the Castle & Key !
When asked about the inspiration behind the design , Angelique said , " The Earth is what we all have in common , that ’ s the message depicted by this window design with the World map as centre piece . We also wanted to feature bees that play such an important role for our environment and of course the main theme is wine , a product and an industry that is being affected by climate change and the environmental degradation ”. It took two weeks to complete the decoration . Alex Martin , the manager of The Cellar by Saccone and Speed , shared his vision of sustainability for the shop . They are committed to increase their offering of organic and biodynamic products , avoiding single-use plastics , and using recycled and paper bags .

The Cellar de Saccone y Speed gana el concurso de escaparates de Gibraltar
En mayo de 2024 , la revista OTWO , en colaboración con la Federación de Pequeñas Empresas de Gibraltar ( GFSB ), convocó un concurso de escaparates dedicado al Día Mundial del Medio Ambiente . La condición principal del concurso era decorar escaparates utilizando materiales reciclables para concienciar sobre la importancia del Día Mundial del Medio Ambiente .
El fallo tuvo lugar el 29 de mayo . El jurado estaba compuesto por representantes del GFSB , funcionarios del Gobierno , el equipo del Proyecto Nautilus y el Grupo de Seguridad Medioambiental . El ganador fue anunciado en el Festival Ecológico anual de Gibraltar , el 2 de junio .
