other virtual spaces. After last summer we started to meet up in person again, let us hope that this all passes soon, and we can start going back to normal. I hope that we can continue with our plans for World Environment Day in June, it seems as though the World Health Organisation is predicting the pandemic will soon come to an end and it looks like things are improving. The essential part of our work now is to reach the civilian population through two elements, the first part is education like we have just discussed, by developing compelling programmes for educators. That is why we must shape educators, and one of the things we have in common is attempting to mould educators towards sustainability so that children can learn. The second part is adults, ordinary society, spreading awareness via various means of communication such as the radio to raise awareness of the message that we must look after the planet, and we must nurture education, nurture culture and nurture science, because science provides us with significant things such as vaccines for example. That is the project in general, on one side, education and on the other, raising awareness and a strong understanding amongst adults. We are now receiving support. Right now, in Spain, in England, in France, in all the European countries, there is a section in each ministry devoted to sustainability and sustainable development, so we have spoken to the minister in charge here and they have agreed to give us subsidies towards sustainable projects. Whether you like it or not money is important. If you have all the will in the world and you keep pushing hard it eventually works out. If you look at some of the details of the conference that we held everything went perfectly, but we had a lot of convincing to do, by that I am referring to funding. Even Parody Tours in Gibraltar helped by donating flights and the hotel. You have to reach out a lot to businesses, but it works, but you have to talk to them a lot and ask for favours and such. From this year we will be working with subsidies. And for example, if we need things like bilingual booklets, we can pay professionals to make them, print them and distribute them. Fundamentally, our work this year will consist of fostering sustainability in education together with forming educators. We also try to do this on both sides of the fence. Christian Santos, el Dr. John Cortez( ministro para el medio ambiente, sostenibilidad, cambio climático y la educación o los sindicalistas y pertenecientes al Grupo Transfronterizo, Michael Netto y Lionel Chipolina, además de con la ya mencionada Daniella Tilbury, con los cuales tenemos muy buena relación y hablamos sobre el transfronterismo en relación con los objetivos de la UNESCO. Durante la pandemia hicimos cursos y talleres por Zoom o por otros espacios virtuales. Ya después del verano volvimos otra vez a congregar a gente. Esperemos que pase todo esto pronto y volvamos otra vez a la normalidad. Yo espero que sigan adelante los planes que tenemos para el día del medio ambiento en junio, parece que la Organización Mundial de la Salud está dándole poco tiempo al virus y parece que se está mejorando. Lo esencial del trabajo nuestro ahora es llegar a la población civil, a la sociedad civil. Por dos partes; una, la educación como hemos estado hablando, y empezar a hacer programas convincentes para los profesores, por eso hay que formar mucho a los profesores y de hecho una de las cosas que tenemos en común es intentar hacer formación del profesorado en el sentido de la sostenibilidad, para que luego lo aprendan los niños claro. Por otra parte, a los adultos, lo que es la sociedad normal y corriente, concienciar a través de medios de comunicación como la radio, por ejemplo, para concienciar a los adultos del que el planeta hay que cuidarlo y que hay que mirar por la educación, hay que mirar por la cultura, hay que mirar por la ciencia, que realmente la ciencia también nos aporta cosas significantes como la vacuna, por ejemplo. Entonces ese es el proyecto en general, por una parte, la educación, y por otra parte los adultos y concienciándolos, una concienciación en condiciones. Ahora estamos recibiendo apoyo. Ahora, en distintos países de Europa, en España, en Inglaterra, en Francia … Existe un ministerio que tienen un apartado de sostenibilidad, de desarrollo sostenible, en España es el Ministerio de Derechos Sociales y Agenda 2030, nosotros esperamos conseguir alguna subvención para proyectos sostenibles. Quieras que no, pero el dinero es importante. Si tú tienes mucha voluntad y luego resulta que tienes que recurrir, lo consigues.
