and therefore the coordination of the Archaeological Activity of the Subterranean System of Las Hediondas ; and in the same way to carry out the divulgative activities in collaboration with the Town Council of Casares . What award would you highlight from the many received in your career ?
The truth is that it is a shared pride with all colleagues who have accompanied me over the years in speleological activities , photography awards have always been accompanied by great happiness and joy as well as the International Speleo Award 2007 for one of my publications , but I keep a special memory of the recognition made by the Photographic Association of Campo de Gibraltar AFOCAM and the City Council of La Linea , for the speleological career and the defense of historical and natural heritage of the subway world and other karst areas . What are your current projects ?
We continue with the systematic exploration of the cavities of the Utrera Karst within the Project of Investigation and Exploration of the Sierra de la Utrera , and for some years we have been immersed in a beginning of explorations and investigations in Sierra Crestellina , in Casares ; in the same way we continue collaborating with the speleological works in the Sierra de las Nieves and the Natural Park of Grazalema .
But one of the main purposes of these activities is the dissemination of the results of these works , since what is not published is not known ; in the same way it is very important , for me and for our teammates , to bring the knowledge of the speleological activity and the conservation of the Karst and its subway environment to the youngest , for that reason and thanks to the Casares Town Hall , we annually carry out various conferences and visits to caves with the schools in the area , both for students of 4th and 5th grade of primary school and students of ESO and Bachillerato ; We also collaborate with the Casares Town Hall in the activities of the Cultural Week and in the different dissemination conferences that are usually organized .
We are currently holding a dissemination conference called " Sierra de la Utrera , 200 million years of history ", with which we intend to bring the general public closer to the importance of this place in
La creación de la Sociedad de Investigaciones Espeleológicas Caxara era una necesidad compartida por un grupo de espeleólogos de la zona , ya que nuestro principal punto de investigación y exploración era la Sierra de la Utrera situada en Casares ( Málaga ), aunque ya hace muchos años que estábamos ampliando nuestro campo de actividades a la Sierra Crestellina . Sin dejar de lado , por supuesto , las actividades a lo largo de los macizos kársticos de Andalucía , tanto en el Parque Natural de Grazalema como en el Parque Nacional de la Sierra de las Nieves , y por supuesto las exploraciones realizadas en Cantabria y Pirineos .
Además una de las líneas principales de trabajo del Ges Casares es la coordinación del Proyecto de Investigación y Exploración de la Sierra de la Utrera , y por tanto la coordinación de la Actividad Arqueológica del Sistema Subterráneo de las Hediondas ; y de igual manera llevar a cabo las actividades divulgativas en colaboración con el Ilmo . Ayuntamiento de Casares . ¿ Qué premio destacaría de los muchos recibidos en su trayectoria ?
La verdad es que es un orgullo compartido con todos los compañeros que me han ido acompañando a lo largo de estos años en las actividades espeleológicas , los premios de fotografía siempre han ido acompañados de una gran felicidad y alegría así como el Premio Internacional Espeleo 2007 por una de mis publicaciones , pero guardo un especial recuerdo del reconocimiento realizado por la Asociación Fotográfica del Campo de Gibraltar AFOCAM y el Ayuntamiento de La Línea , por la trayectoria espeleológica y la defensa del patrimonio histórico y natural del mundo subterráneo y otras zonas kársticas . ¿ Cuáles son vuestros proyectos actualmente ?
Continuamos con la exploración sistemática de las cavidades del Karst de la Utrera dentro del Proyecto de Investigación y Exploración de la Sierra de la Utrera , y desde hace algunos años estamos inmersos en un inicio de exploraciones e investigaciones en Sierra Crestellina , en Casares ; de igual manera seguimos colaborando con los trabajos espeleológicos en la Sierra de las Nieves y Parque Natural de Grazalema .
