Spanish Federation of Mountaineering to which we belonged as the Southern Committee of Speleology .
As a member of the Group Ixodes of La Línea , together with another companion of the province of Cádiz , we integrated as representatives and members of the Andalusian Federation of Speleology , position that I have been maintaining until last year 2010 , in which I believed opportune to give step to the new speleologists who had to take the relief to us .
It was a fantastic time in which speleology in Andalusia took shape , with the creation of various committees that allowed us to make the leap to the incipient collaboration with universities and organizations in subway research in Andalusia . At that time , what is now known as the Andalucía Explora Project was initiated , in which the speleological activities of the various Andalusian groups in the different karst areas of the region are structured . What is the greatest discovery you have made throughout your career ?
I have never made discoveries alone , I have participated in the successes as a member of a research and exploration team , the discoveries are the result of teamwork , they are the result of a management plan in which each one of us has our mission .
We must keep in mind that speleology is not an individual activity , speleology is a collective activity in which a team works together and in which each one has a very important role in the final result .
The discovery of the Gran Duque Cave , the location of the great final galleries of the Sima Hedionda 3 , the connection of the Sima Hedionda 2 and Sima Hedionda 4 ( in the Sierra de la Utrera in Casares ), the location of the Sima S-6 of the Neolithic Complex of La Veredilla ( in Benaocaz ), the valorization of the Neolithic Site of the Subterranean System of Las Hediondas ( Casares ), and many other research results are the result of the team of speleologists involved in subway research and exploration . You are currently vice-president of the Andalusian Association of Underground Exploration ( AAES ), what are its main objectives ?
The AAES was born some years ago , at the beginning of 2006 , as a project of integration of the Andalusian speleology groups in the different research and exploration projects , as well as its promotion and dissemination in the Community of Andalusia . do , aunque quiero eliminar de mi mente aquellos rescates reales en los que me toco participar , como el de un amigo y compañero del Grupo Ixodes en la Sima de Cacao . ¿ Cómo fue su representación por la provincia de Cádiz de la Federación Andaluza de Espeleología ?
Fue alrededor de 1983 cuando de la mano de José María Gutiérrez Romero , se ponía en marcha la Federación Andaluza de Espeleología , desligándose ( como otras regiones ) de la Federación Española de Montañismo a la que pertenecíamos como Comité Sur de Espeleología .
Como miembro del Grupo Ixodes de La Línea , junto a otro compañero de la provincia de Cádiz , nos integramos como representantes y miembros de la Federación Andaluza de Espeleología , cargo que he venido manteniendo hasta el pasado año 2010 , en la que creí oportuno dar paso a los nuevos espeleólogos que debían tomarnos el relevo .
Fue una época fantástica en la que se fue dando forma a la Espeleología en Andalucía , con la creación de diversos comités que permitieron dar el salto a la colaboración incipiente con universidades y organismos en las investigaciones subterráneas de Andalucía . En aquella época se dio inicio a lo que hoy se conoce como Proyecto Andalucía Explora , en la que se estructuran las actividades espeleológicas de los diversos grupos andaluces en las distintas zonas kársticas de la región . ¿ Cuál es el mayor descubrimiento que ha realizado a lo largo de su carrera ?
Yo nunca he hecho descubrimientos solo , he participado en los éxitos como integrante de un equipo de investigación y exploración , los descubrimientos son fruto de un trabajo en equipo , son resultado de un plan de gestión en la que cada uno tenemos nuestra misión .
Hay que tener en cuenta que la Espeleología no es una actividad individual , la Espeleología es una actividad colectiva en la que un equipo realiza trabajos de forma conjunta y en la que cada uno tiene su importantísimo papel en el resultado final .
