Human influence on the climate system is well-established and growing, with effects visible on all continents and oceans. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change( IPCC) currently claims that human activity is the primary driver of global warming, based on substantial scientific evidence.
It also states that the greater the disruption to the climate caused by such activity, the greater the likelihood of serious, widespread, and irreversible consequences for people and ecosystems.
In all emissions scenarios assessed in the IPCC Fifth Assessment Report, projections indicate that surface temperatures will continue to rise throughout the 21st century. It is very likely that heat waves will occur more frequently and last longer,
La influencia humana en el sistema climático es clara y va en aumento, y sus impactos se observan en todos los continentes y océanos. Actualmente, y con evidencias científicas suficientes, el Panel Intergubernamental de Cambio Climático( IPCC por sus siglas en inglés) asegura que la actividad humana es la causa principal del calentamiento global.
Del mismo modo, concluye que cuanto mayor sea la perturbación de dicha actividad sobre el clima, mayores serán los riesgos de impactos graves, generalizados e irreversibles en las personas y los ecosistemas.
