When we embarked on this wonderful and exciting
journey, we knew it would be a challenge to esta-
blish a platform that represented properly the cause
and provided easy everyday actions that we could
encourage people to take.
We knew that this area of the world is privileged
in every way. Our climate is mild and the geography
is of spectacular beauty and variety. This is a well
known fact, but we were not ready for the incredi-
ble variety of choices that are available to each and
every one of us to help save this planet of ours. Here,
virtually at our doorstep.
This Magazine has become a reference point. A
manual for a more healthy and responsible way of
life, one that acknowledges we simply cannot carry
on the way we were going.
The number and quality of our contributors is
astounding when you consider how young this ma-
gazine is. This is growing exponentially and we will
obviously nurture that interest and work tirelessly
to ensure the platform develops and does justice to
their efforts.
It is clear though that the scope of the possible is
amazing and that we could do so much more in so
many areas – personal health, travel, leisure, edu-
cational, gastronomy, heritage to name but a few.
The problem is that space in the magazine is limited

even though it is one of the largest magazine for-
mats available in Gibraltar.
Soon we will announce several locations in Gi-
braltar where we shall organize a series of events
over the period of a week in which we shall bring to
you the best offers available in all these areas.
Encouraged by the total conviction of everyone
we have come across in our travels and locally, we
have decided to embark on the launch of an annual
event which we intend to call Green Week Gibraltar.
We are already in touch with many local organi-
zations to make this event a true milestone in brin-
ging to our society choices for a better way of life.
A more balanced and sustainable lifestyle that will
reward future generations with better chances and
opportunities.
Gibraltar is a business and creative powerhouse,
we often prove ourselves capable of meeting cha-
llenges way beyond what would normally be expec-
ted from a country of our size.
With Green Week Gibraltar we intend to place our
country at the forefront of this challenge. Already
excited by the response received, we cannot wait
to share more details of this important and unique
event.
