FINDEAVENTURA: SIERRA DE LAS NIEVES. RONDA –MÁLAGA The “Hiking” and “Via Ferrata” experiences rank high among our different “End-of-Adventure” tours. Both take place within the Sierra de las Nieves (Snowy Mountains), located to the east of Ronda and borde- ring the Ronda Mountain Range Natural Park. A ho- tel in Ronda will provide us with the perfect location to enjoy the food, monuments and cute little streets in this mountain town. The first hiking adventure is a level 1 because of the slopes and distance. The second one, Double Via Fe- rrata, consists in a level-zero (for beginners) and a level-1 ascent (easy, with just some trickier parts.) The first adventure may require the use of crampons which our company will be providing. Specific equipment both for groups and individuals is essential in order to complete the Via Ferrata routes. It includes a harness, zipper or hard-hats. The guides will be also equipped with the necessary safety and rescue equipment. TORRECILLA ROUTE At 1,919 metres, our hiking walk leads to the highest peak within the province of Malaga. It comprises a difference in heights to up to 1,000 metres and takes six hours including the breaks along the way. We cross the “Cañada del Cuervo” with its cente- nary pine trees to get to the Rock of the Lovers and from where a flat path will take us to “Los Pilones” prior to approaching the final ascent. From the hi- ghest spot, we will get views of the Mediterranean and Morocco to the south; the Grazalema Mountain Range to the west; Sierra Nevada to the east and Ronda to the north. A worthy challenge! Time Hiking, 5-6 hours. Double Via Ferrara, 3-4 hours. Number of participants: 7/15 Best time to go: Autumn, Winter and Spring, including breakfast.
