El Ministro de Medio Ambiente , Sostenibilidad , Cambio Climático y Patrimonio , el profesor John Corte , ha firmado un Memorando de Entendimiento ( MOU ) con Aaron Olivera , el director general de Earth 300 .
En un comunicado , el Gobierno dijo que el MOU se firmó para “ reconocer los beneficios de la colaboración , la cooperación y la interacción dedicadas para la creación , el avance y el funcionamiento de una presencia de Earth 300 en Gibraltar de acuerdo con su visión actual de inspirar la conciencia ecológica marina a escala mundial , así como la promoción de Gibraltar sobre una base ambiental ”.
« El alcance de Earth 300 abarca la posibilidad de albergar sus buques , ciencia de vanguardia en el mar impulsada por energía verde ; desarrollar un centro de innovación científica de próxima generación que revolucione la ciencia oceánica con tecnología ; y unirse a la Economía Azul como fuerza global para la ciencia marina interdisciplinar inteligente , la sostenibilidad y la educación ».

NEW REVISED HIGHWAY CODE PROTECTS MOST VULNERABLE ROAD USERS
Following the United Kingdom ’ s updated Highway Code in September , the Government has updated and revised Gibraltar ’ s Highway Code to ensure compatibility with local laws and current road safety advice .
The Highway Codes ’ aim is to promote road safety and to also promote current concepts in a healthy , sustainable , and efficient transport system , be it on foot , by bicycle , using public transport or by private car . The code applies to Gibraltar but also focuses on traffic signs , road situations and advice that may not be relevant locally but are applicable when driving outside Gibraltar .
The biggest change will see the introduction of a ‘ hierarchy of road users , this means that road users that are able to do the greatest damage will assume the greatest share of responsibility to ensure road safety .
