Beneath the comedy lies a serious question: would we change our relationship with nature if we could actually hear what it has to say?

Ridley Scott adapts Peter Heller’ s novel and takes us to 2035, after a pandemic has erased much of humanity. Hig, a pilot and survivor, inhabits a world reduced to essential bonds: a plane, a companion, a dog and a landscape that continues without us. Between violence, grief and the search for hope, the film is strongest when contemplating what remains after collapse. Rather than simply asking how we might survive the end of the world, it raises another question: what remains of us when we are no longer at its centre?
