Over 200 people , including industry professionals , researchers , experts , Government Ministers , MPs , NGOs and enthusiasts dedicated to advancing sustainable building practices gathered at the Sunborn Hotel in June for the first ASPIRE conference .
The Aspire Conference was organised by the Department of the Environment , Sustainability , Climate Change and Heritage and supported by several local industry sponsors , it was focused on key issues and trends related to sustainable buildings and construction in Gibraltar . It provided a space for companies and individuals involved or interested in the development of sustainable architecture and construction , as well as for an exchange of experience .
The event was sponsored by Casais and the Montagu Group as Gold Sponsors , NatWest International and GAMMA Arcitects as Silver and the Trusted Novus Bank , North Gorge Properties , Chestertons and NOSA as Bronze Sponsors . Media partners were GBC News , Gibraltar Chronicle and OTWO .
The one-day event included 2 sessions , 4 panels with a total of 17 panellists and 3 keynote speakers made up of local and international experts in this field . Key themes were explored : Designing for the Future : Net Zero and The Green Child Friendly City , Healthy Transport Healthy Lives , Education : a driver for positive action , Innovative sustainable building technologies and practices , Resilient buildings for a changing climate , Sustainable building certification and rating systems , Business cases for sustainable building .

Más de 200 personas , entre profesionales del sector , investigadores , expertos , ministros del Gobierno , parlamentarios , ONG y entusiastas dedicados al avance de las prácticas de construcción sostenible se reunieron en el Hotel Sunborn en junio con motivo de la primera conferencia ASPIRE .
La Conferencia Aspire fue organizada por el Departamento de Medio Ambiente , Sostenibilidad , Cambio Climático y Patrimonio y contó con el apoyo de varios patrocinadores de la industria local . Se centró en cuestiones y tendencias clave relacionadas con los edificios y la construcción sostenibles en Gibraltar . Ofreció un espacio para empresas y particulares implicados o interesados en el desarrollo de la arquitectura y la construcción sostenibles , así como para el intercambio de experiencias .
